Just wanted to share a few of the production images from Uncle Vanya. With a great company, ably directed by Tamara Harvey, with Set and Costume by Lucy Osborne and Sound from Jared Zeus, I’m really proud of what we came up with.
Also pleased that one of the reviewers mentioned “Ric Mountjoy’s sumptuous but subtle lighting – at times as gorgeous as a Dutch Master’s painting” (Steve Stratford, Arts Scene in Wales) – an influence which I had been aiming to reproduce on stage.
I had a great time working at Theatr Clwyd on Uncle Vanya, a great theatrical institution in the traditional producing theatre mould, and hope that it might be the first of many visits there.
And the next stop for the production will be the Crucible Studio in Sheffield, the theatre where I made my professional debut as a Lighting Designer in 2001, and a city which I love. Looking forward to it already!
