Lucrezia Borgia

Donizetti’s classic bel canto opera of Venetian intrigue, staged by Eloise Lally for English Touring Opera’s spring tour. From a masked ball to a knife fight, and culminating in a tragic death due to a misunderstanding, Lucrezia’s reputation lives on through history. Unfairly maligned as one of history’s most famous poisoners, she is both a brilliant strategist and a loving mother, a complex woman in a dangerous situation.

Being performed in rep on tour in Hackney, Sheffield, Norwich, York, Durham, Chester, Cambridge, Snape Maltings, Poole, Cheltenham, Buxton and Exeter.
