Just a few quick photos left over from my first design on the main stage at Sadler’s Wells last month. I was lucky enough to work with Akram Khan and Sandeep Virdee and some amazing Indian choreographers on two nights of dance as part of the Darbar Festival 2018. A significant part of the lighting design was using an installation of 441 flown light bulbs devised by Aideen Malone and Akram for last year’s festival, and developing these ideas further beyond illumination to provide scenography and movement, and house the whole programme in a ‘temple of lights’.
Update: Find the main gallery on my portfolio page here.
